Sub: Issuance of Digital Certificate for filing online applications

Attention of the Trade and Industry is invited to the introduction of issuance of Digital Certificates.

The Director General of Foreign Trade(DGFT) , New Delhi has tied up with Safe Scrypt Limited for issuance of Digital Certificate services for filing of online applications for licences by the EXIM Community. Safe scrypt Limited will provide the “Safe Exim” product package for digitally signing & filing the online application forms.

As part of the procedural simplification the exporters can submit their import-export licence applications to the offices of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade(DGFT) online & effect electronic payments as well, provided exporters avail the package provided by M/s Safescrypt Limited,Chennai for digitally signed and filing the online applications.

The Government has reduced the application fee for digitally signed online applications to 50% of the original fee paid against manual applications.

The Current facility of electronic filing of application based on password will be discontinued by the 1^st of April 2004 in favor of digitally signed applications. Exporters are requested to take advantage of this facility and to contact Safescrypt ,Chennai to get their ‘Safe Exim’ product package for Digital Signature and filing the online applications at the following e-mail ID zjdgftchennai@safescrypt.com & also in Phone No.044-52047800/ 98404 17134 (Chennai)
